It seems that as the Sun Spot activity increases and we get solar flares we often also seem to have Earth Events. Have you ever noticed that Hurricanes intensify during high peaks of Sun Spot or Solar Flare activity? Interesting concept indeed; but is it coincidence or is there a connection? This topic recently came up in an online think tank when a think tank guest, Sue asked;

Could the sunspot activity have had anything to do with the recent Earthquakes near Tonga in the S. Pacific? Where could I learn more about the effect of sunspot activity on natural disasters -- and on human behavior.

You know that some people believe so and if you consider that if you heat up a pot of refried beans with a little water on top of it. The atmosphere in the pot with a lid on it, moves around more and the refried beans surface cracks and shifts, bubbles.

So lets say the scientists are correct on a different point that we have cracking of some of our tectonic plates; namely below Japan and Indian Ocean this causes shifting so any adverse force could cause an movement event on an already weakened or ready to move area ready to shift?

So far science is catching up to what many ancient civilizations may indeed have already known. But lets understand that until we can prove it scientifically that there is such a correlation it cannot be considered a viable answer to the question at hand. So consider this in 2006.
