Polarity Therapy Training

Author: C. Bailey-Lloyd

According to the American Polarity Therapy Association (APTA), there are several polarity therapy training programs offered at a variety of healing arts schools. This educational coursework examines life energy (and its multiple forms) so to integrate and balance the body, mind and spirit with various polarity therapy training classes that encompass a broad system of bodywork, exercises; nutritional guidance and verbal counseling.

Basic polarity therapy training includes an in-depth examination and study of polarity energetics (life energy as expressed through Five Elements: Air, Earth, Ether, Fire and Water); communication and evaluation training. More advanced polarity therapy training requires successful completion of APP program, and an additional range of relevant studies. Course length, prerequisites and tuition vary from school to school, so it is important (for prospective students) to check with individual institutions prior to enrollment.

Different levels of polarity therapy training and education may lead to successful candidates becoming an Associate Polarity Practitioner (APP), or Registered Polarity Practitioner (RPP). For the curious, polarity therapy electives and continuing education certification courses may also be an option.

In general, polarity therapy training is an alternative healing art education that many healthcare professionals are beginning to incorporate into their professional practices. Aside from chiropractors and massage therapists, physical therapists and conventional practitioners are also starting to successfully integrate polarity therapy training and its application into their patient treatments.
