Did you know that since the big Christmas Eve Sumatra Earthquake which triggered the large Tsunami in Indonesia that killed over 200,000 people that the ground just will not stop shaking there? Now there are Tsunami Early Warning Systems in Place, but what about all those Earthquakes. Many scientists believe that the Indian Ocean Tectonic Plate is splitting in two and that is not very funny if you consider the ramifications for humans living on the surface of the Planet as it could trigger massive Volcanic eruptions and atmospheric debris to cloud half of Earth. Some are wondering now if the Earthquake, Volcanoes and Tsunamis in the Indian Ocean and South Pacific will ever stop and in Early May 2006 as things were kind of winding down from all the two years of after shocks now an Indonesia Volcano has made thousands evacuate and there was an 8.1 Earthquake in the Tonga Region of the South Pacific too. That is highly significant indeed and scary stuff, but what is causing all of this? One psuedo scientist thinks it is an unbalancing of the planet due to Global Warming and the melting of all the polar ice, while others believe that these things have happened many times before and are merely part of the normal Earth, Sun and Tectonic Cycles and well both say that either way we are going to have to deal with it come hell or high water or shaking Earth. So, consider this in 2006. |
