It's become increasingly common for homeowners to display unique mailboxes as a way to showcase their personality. Nevertheless, although these designs may spruce up a home's appearance, they are typically far from secure. In truth, mailboxes are primary targets for criminals who are looking to gather personal information. To that end, the only unique mailboxes consumers should really be looking for are those that will guarantee that their mail remains safe.

For those who live in rural areas, mailbox vandalism is an unfortunately common occurrence. Due to the isolation of rural mailboxes, they are often the victims of abuse in the form of baseball bats, rocks or even pipe bombs.
