Where to Make a Difference When Raising a Child

Author: Hans Bool

Do you influence your kids in a special way? Does your child management approach make a real difference, and how would you know? This is one of the biggest problems; we cant really tell whether our method to raise a child is a good one.

Yet there are rules that will do "harm."

Preparing your child for the real life for example, is one area where you could make a difference. Whether in business or other institutions you will always be confronted with limits, constraints and restrictions. You are to choose and make the best of a situation that is far from perfects.

Different periods all have a certain charm. For those who experienced prosperous times might think that their success was solely attributed to their own effort. Influences from society and markets however can break or make your career.

At home you might give in to a demanding child, just for the sake of getting some rest. This is a tough job however. If your son or daughter is surrounded by others that have everything, from a mobile phone at the age of six to a notebook with Internet at seven, you should ask yourself, do I agree with this race? And this not even addresses the issue of unlimited internet access, but just giving (in), all what a boy or girls wants (Crying for more and more).

Give it all and you will turn you child lazy and temper creativity. Neither will it help your kid zip into the real world, where the grown-up will experience a hard time meeting the day-to-day requirements; the struggle for dealing with limited resources.

Whether you can afford it or not, youd better limit your child from abundance. What seems hard and difficult at the moment, will turn out profitable in the end.
