Why Marine Folding Ladders Are A Must For Boats

Author: Joe Wilson

A marine folding ladder is a crucial part of your boat equipment inventory. Easy on and off access, for swimming, snorkeling, or diving, is made easier with a marine folding ladder. Ladders that are easily folded are important accessories for small and medium sized craft that need equipment both compact and easy to use and put away again.

The first type of ladder to consider for your boat is a latch type. This is ideal for a runabout, a sailboat or a smaller cruiser. Its catch brackets provide secure locking in place. This marine folding ladder can be mounted permanently or left as a removable and compactly folded piece of boat equipment. The standoffs are well cushioned and they and the hooks fold flat. The poly steps of this ladder are white, 12 1/2 inches and molded for easy traction. The ladder's tubing is made of one-inch aluminum.

With these marine folding ladders you have several choices of size and style. You can choose either side mount or over the rail models, with three, four or five steps. The price range is $121.95 to $139.95.

If your marine life is spent on a transom or pontoon, there are ladders easily folded and just right for your craft.

A folding transom swim ladder, made as a side mount, offers a mount area of 6 1/2 inches by 12 inches and fits almost every curved or angled transom. The tube is durable, made of one-inch aluminum that is anodized. The steps are aluminum, comfortable and non-slip. Included with this marine folding ladder are lock strap and fasteners made of stainless steel. You can choose a folding ladder for your transom or pontoon with either two or three steps, for $83.50 or $96.95 respectively.
