Perhaps the United Nations needs to invest in artificially intelligent androids and robotic assistance to do work in places like Africa where disease, malnutrition and virus outbreaks are common. Too often people from first world countries go to Africa to help starving children, only to find out that their immune system is not ready to take on the African life. If we can fulfill part of the U.N.'s mission in Third World nations using robotic assistance, then we will prevent the spread of disease to other regions of the world, while still helping those in need.

Another plus two artificially intelligent robotic androids working in U.N. capacity is that they will not need food or water which may be scarce. This means they will not be fighting for human sustenance at a time when they are there to help humans ration what little there already is. Perhaps the robotic assistant androids with artificial intelligence will not be seen as a competitive life form, that is to say another human with the mouth to feed, but rather as something that is there to help them.

With major pandemic outbreaks, lack of water and food such artificially intelligent robotic systems making a lot of sense and they could potentially save limited resources and lots of money. Having a robotic assistant, which does not catch colds, get the flu or contract any disease is a major plus as we were to eradicate disease and malnutrition from the face of the planet. Consider this in 2006.
